HPD Intercooler Kit — Suitable for Toyota LandCruiser 79 (1HD-FTE, Front Mount, Series 2)

HPD's front-mount intercooler kit suits the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series 1HD-FTE (Series 2), which left the factory non-intercooled. It uses a bar-and-plate core measuring 400×200×76mm with a CNC-machined inlet adaptor, alloy mandrel-bent piping stepping from 51mm at the turbo up to 63mm, quality silicone hoses, laser-cut bracketry and German load-rated clamps.

By reducing inlet temperatures the kit also lowers engine running temperatures, and its front-mount design avoids the heat soak that affects top-mount and water-to-air setups under hard, low-speed work. Paired with engine tuning, HPD reports torque and power gains of over 90% in most cases. Note this kit is supplied without a grille, and the factory grille requires modification to fit.
